Quick Thoughts: An American blues rock vocalist/guitarist from Delaware (he was actually named one of the most influential Delawareans of the past 50 years). George Thorogood was on his way to being a baseball player in his youth when he decided to turn his full attention to music. Though in 1980 Thorogood and the Destroyers toured 50 states in 50 days, his first mainstream exposure came in 1981 while opening for the Rolling Stones on tour. "Move It On Over" was first sung in 1947 by the country music singer-songwriter Hank Williams, a song that is recognized for its influence on early rock n' roll. The song is basically about a guy being sent to the doghouse by his wife for coming home late. Here is a link to the Hank Williams version:

Having grown up listening to mostly hip-hop, R&B, some alternative,
and all sorts of music in Spanish, I decided it was time to give myself a
personal survey of Rock music. My friend BJ Swanner compiled a "Top
1000 Rock Song List", aggregated from several "Top Lists". As I go
through all 1,000 songs, I'll be creating my own list, sharing a
brief post like this for all the songs that will make my
final list. I will not be ranking the songs that make it to my final
list.....for now.
